Modern Mill Spotlights Marblehead Renovation as Inspiration Piece

Every step of a build matters, from location and design to materials and workmanship. When you live by the sea, the materials you choose become even more important. Having your home exposed to salt day in, day out for years on end is corrosive and accelerates wear, leading to aesthetic and structural damage.

The Harborview Renovation in Marblehead, Massachusetts was spotlighted by Modern Mill as an inspiration piece for our application of their ACRE™ line of siding and trim—a highly resilient, sustainable material with the look and feel of traditional wood shiplap siding.

Safe and sound, even in the elements.

At Malmquist Builders, we pay particular attention to the construction of the building envelope on all projects. In fact, founder Dave Malmquist spent two years practicing his craft on Vancouver Island in British Columbia where he headed up a team in the building science division of a large engineering firm. His team was responsible for the creation, design, and coordination of all building envelope components and developing sound solutions for exterior rain screen systems.
