Renovation & Addition
The Weston Estate project has an incredible story—about a man who grew up loving the property, buying it with his wife, then waiting 25 years until they could afford to fully rebuild. When they bought the property, the original Italianate mansion had been replaced by a ’50s ranch, and the century-old formal gardens designed by the Olmsted Brothers (whose work has been celebrated by the Smithsonian) were in a state of disrepair.
The design team worked with the homeowners to reimagine and re-create the estate with a full gut renovation, a massive addition, beautiful, French styling, and incredible landscape design by Dan Gordon Landscape Architects. The team focused on the estates's history, working to bring the original European style back to life with beautiful archways and detailed millwork throughout.
This project is a great example of our “architect first, builder second” philosophy. Stunning design deserves meticulous craftsmanship. And when you drive up to the house today, it looks like it’s always been there.
