/ listen / We get to know every client, and each project is tailored to their unique personality and style. We collaborate directly with your design team, translating their vision into action, laying out a plan, and orchestrating the team that brings it to life.
/ plan / We are highly involved and focused during the preconstruction phase, ensuring that design and budget are aligned. Everything is considered—needs, wants, aesthetics, budget, location, environment, materials—and a team is assembled.
/ execute / MQ Build is engaged throughout the building process, proactively managing and monitoring the project at both macro and micro scales. Industry leading project management software is employed, ensuring that everyone on the project is coordinated and communicating.
/ repeat / We’re still here for you once the build is over! We stay in touch with all of our clients, and many become repeat customers and friends.

At Malmquist Builders, we focus on a collaborative team approach at every stage of the build, from the homeowner-architect-builder team who plans the build to the contractors, subcontractors, and vendors who make it all happen.
We foster a positive, energetic environment at our work sites. Subcontractors and vendors are taken on as an extension of the MQ Build team, and we trust them to execute to the high standard which we set from the early stages of a project.

An architect turned builder, owner Dave Malmquist has the utmost respect for architects. While his work is heavily informed by his architectural background, Malmquist will always stress that your architect leads the design on your project.
We work with your design team to interpret their vision, propose means and methods of construction, identify potential budget impacts, and bring their vision to life.
